@bryce_spalding Filthy. That Stephenson challenge makes such a big difference too. He doesn't swing at that if he thinks Burns can't land it in the bottom of the zone
@RomeovilleKid Nah. It’s like calling Bill Russell the goat. Most commercial success, but not the GOAT, that has to include a mix of commercial success and quality to me. And outside some of the early stuff the quality isn’t there
@RedsInFour Is there any way to see what Elly's splits are. I feel like one of the reasons his Babip is good this year is because when he hits a groundball it's often oppo and flyballs / line drives are pulled a lot
@Nicholaspkirby@Flesch_4@CBoxSports 2. I don’t think he’s been that unlucky, its because he’s been hitting the ball hard but the other way. Xstats don’t take into account if a player pulled the ball or hit it the other way
3. Id agree if this year he had been performing well at 3rd, but he’s been avg at best so far
@bballbreakdown I think the reason people have a problem and see you as biased is because you aren’t consistent on these types of things. The rulebook is the bible when it concerns traveling or shooting fouls, but not when it comes to on/off ball defense?
@bballbreakdown I want to have a real conversation about this. What’s the difference between your posts where you rightly point out that a foul is technically correct (defender not in a legal guarding position etc) and these plays by OKC where your argument is “they usually let this contact go”
@bryce_spalding@RedsInFour Sal still has a lower BABIP than expected though doesn’t he? It might just be that he’s able to hit for more power to opposite field than even Stephenson can
@bryce_spalding@RedsInFour Could you guys explain why the unluckiness might be because of not pulling the ball? I get why pulling the ball is better because you generally hit the ball harder when you pull it, but I would think that if he is still hitting the ball hard and at the same launch angles (1/2)
