CNBC reports Trump's tariffs hit Audi with a 1.2 billion euro blow last year, because it imported every car it sold here from Europe or Mexico.

Now Audi is building its FIRST U.S. assembly plant, in Georgia.

Sen. Bernie Moreno: the plant "would never have happened without tariffs, without common sense regulations and without eliminating California's ability to regulate fuel economy standards."
