If you unholster and brandish your gun at a range when not in the booth, you’d be barred for life.
If you do it in the streets you go to jail.
When ICE does it to an unarmed woman, the President calls her a terrorist.
This is called “brandishing” and when you do it to someone’s face, it is legally considered assault.
You do NOT have the right to point a gun in the face of an unarmed protestor, especially when you out number them, and have other options for de-escalation.
This is a CLEAR crime.
Kids aren’t responsible to know how to navigate their parents tempers, mood swings, and/or bad days. If you grew up thinking otherwise, this could be a key indicator to why you feel overly responsible for other people’s well-being while unknowingly neglecting your own.
Tonight my wife said as a kid she had a Barbie with a wheelchair but it was discontinued because the chair didn’t fit in the Barbie house door.
Her: “So instead of making the doorways wider they just got rid of the doll!!”
Me: “Welcome to being a disabled person!”
At this moment rapists have more power under the law than their survivors in many states, including mine. And they can exert that power for the rest of the victims’ lives.
Gonna be very weird if Supreme Court ends a constitutional right to obtain an abortion next week, saying it should be left to the States to decide, right after it just imposed a constitutional right to concealed carry of firearms, saying it cannot be left to the States to decide
@RepMTG Since you were going to use me as a fundraising opportunity I will ask people to please donate to support our march on June 11 of Americans (both D and R) demanding gun safety https://t.co/xvWowr0Av7
An 11-year-old who survived the school shooting in Texas went into survival mode and put someone's blood on herself to pretend she was dead. The classmate next to her died and then saved her life. This is the kind of trauma you hear from an active war zone, not a 4th grade class.
It’s worth repeating. A mom drove there. Got handcuffed. Got out of handcuffs. Hopped a fence. Went inside the school and walked out with her two kids. All while 19 officers waited outside the classroom where the gunman was. #UvaldePolice#Uvalde
Uvalde is a largely Latino community. At a press conference earlier today about the shooting, authorities said nothing in Spanish and did not address any Spanish-speaking journalists.
So you’re telling me that a 12 year old is too young to buy a PG-13 movie ticket, a lottery ticket or cold medicine, too young to drive a car or to vote, but not too young to be forced to carry a baby to term or to marry?
How fucked up is that?
