π¨ are you paying attention to what's happening right now..
mortgage rates just hit a 6-month high.. fourth straight week going up..
the Fed cut rates three times.. mortgages went up.. they told you rate cuts would "make housing affordable again".. rates went up.. they told you inflation was "cooling".. rates went up..
every single institution that told you to wait.. the Fed.. the banks.. the economists on TV.. they all said the same thing.. "just wait.. relief is coming"..
you waited.. and every week you waited the same house got more expensive..
in 2019 a $400,000 house cost you $1,900 a month.. today that same house costs $2,800 a month.. same walls.. same roof.. same neighborhood.. $900 more a month for nothing..
an entire generation did everything right.. went to college.. got the job.. saved the down payment.. and the finish line moved every time they got close..
your parents bought a house on one salary.. you can't buy one on two.. and nobody in charge thinks that's a problem worth solving.. because the people making the rules already own the house.
during the government shutdown trump has:
-given 20 billion to Argentina (then doubled it to 40b)
-freed disgraced congressman George Santos
-refuses to swear in Adelita Grijalva (who promised to vote for release of Epstein files)
-bought Kristi Noem 2 private jets
-and now THREATENS to release diddy
good job america
The government is shutdown, but the House refuses to go back in session.
Why are we in recess?
Because the day we go back into session, I have 218 votes for the discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files.
@SpeakerJohnson doesnβt want that to be the news.
"when i was your age, i survived a pandemic and didn't leave my house for 2 years. you'll be ok if you don't go out tonight" will be my favorite line i'll use on my future kids
