People call out problematic behaviour in films and society because they don’t want it normalised. If someone is a “thinker,” they should take the time to think and decide, instead of making their partner ask a hundred times.

Maybe Vijay meant it as a joke and his intent was pure according to you. But good intent doesn’t erase harmful impact. What feels like harmless banter to one person can reinforce deeply rooted societal attitudes when millions are watching.

The issue isn’t whether he intended to hurt anyone. It’s whether we’re normalising behaviour that shouldn’t be celebrated as some “gigachad” attitude in the first place.

People aren’t calling this out merely because they care about you or want to invade your privacy. They’re questioning what such statements normalise beyond your relationship.

You may know his intent. But you don’t get to dismiss the impact on everyone else. Defending someone you love is your choice, dismissing valid criticism as an angry mob is another thing altogether.👎
