Not that anyone really needs to know (or cares ๐คฃ) but I'm going to take a break from here. No virtue signalling, just feel convicted that I spend too long on here and not enough time with the Lord and where He wants me. Every blessing to those fighting the good fight on here.
@Rgt71Robert@churchofengland@ClergySupportUK@ArchbishopSarah@CottrellStephen There is an issue that CST have halved their eligibility. Whilst it's still a good amount of savings, on a stipend if you want to look at buying a house to avoid renting in retirement, you need more than that as a deposit realistically.
It amazes me that supermarkets such as Asda, Co-op and Sainsbury's are still selling the vacuum packed mince beef. The reviews are consistently 1 or 2 stars so business wise it's surely a bad move and for the consumer it ruins the beef. It should be banned.
The Bishop of Lincoln has been suspended pending investigation; Dr Nicholas Chamberlain will serve as Acting Bishop. #LincolnDiocese https://t.co/qNlWmLqumE
To repeat, if Prestianni is guilty, he is guilty. But forgive me that I won't jump to assume his guilt. If he said it, he needs to have some integrity and take some accountability and not just try to get away with it. If he didn't, then it's an awful experience.
Not defending Prestianni, if he's guilty he's guilty. But I know what it's like to be falsely accused of racism. At school I had someone accuse me with a witness. Thankfully I could prove the witness couldn't have been a witness so it got dropped. Was threatened with suspension.
๐จ๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: UEFA has been investigating allegations that Gianluca Prestianni made racist remarks toward Vinรญcius Jรบnior. However, reaching a decision has proven to be more complex than anticipated.
The organization is carefully reviewing all available evidence before issuing a final ruling, as it aims to ensure the matter is handled thoroughly and correctly.
Was a horrible experience with the teachers just assuming I'm guilty and being outraged I was implying the accuser and witness were lying.
At another time, the accuser would go on to take unprovoked swings at me whilst calling me white trash and the school ignored it.
@senfumahans Churches getting treated like every other charity isn't privilege. They still pay VAT and NI for employees. They also pay tax on trading activities outside the scope of the charity. The reality is very few churches would actually have to pay "tax" even if they weren't a charity.
@CorneliusH_ "that would've been impossible" - well it was the route they were trying to go and would've gone through had there not been such pressure.
You are mistaken. Their approach has continuously begun with asking the bishops to repent and drop this as that is their real desire.
@CorneliusH_ The synod were aiming to push things through without 2/3rd vote. It's only due to the push from the likes of those you name which has led to this backtrack. I just don't think it's a very fair accusation to be throwing out there at brothers trying to fight for orthodoxy.
This is evidently wrong but if it holds up - surely this argument is anti-trans? If we are born perfectly as God intended, then trans people have the bodies God intended, and so treatment is an action against God? Probably not the argument LGBT advocates want to make.
If religious people truly believe that God created each person in his image, and if LGBTQ people are created exactly as God intended, then calling us sinful is essentially calling Godโs own creation, and by extension, Godโs creative work, flawed or sinful.
Interestingly, to unfortunately go as low as the left, Hitler was anti-zionist and also used a lot of anti-wealthy/anti-plutocratic rhetoric. Slightly awkward when a lot of their argument is to smear their opponents as Nazis...
Green Party activists have reportedly called for Zionism to be classed as a โracist ideologyโ in a new motion.
The overwhelming majority of British Jews identify as Zionist. It is an essential part of their Jewishness. This motion would effectively declare them inherently racist and would open the door to a frightening witch-hunt against Jews.
We have seen such things before in bygone eras and would have hoped that they had been consigned to the dustbin of history.
The Green Party seems poised to recycle historyโs worst hatreds.ย It is as if the Greens have learned absolutely nothing from the EHRC investigation into antisemitism in Labour.
Not only should this motion be refused consideration, but those who proposed it should be expelled from the Party.

@CorneliusH_ It also allows for a functioning structure with bishops, canon law etc. Already in place, so it would allow for a smooth transition and help keep the orthodox church together.
But this wasn't the desired path, it was the last resort.
@CorneliusH_ For the people mentioned, they are the least affected by this. A third province, would allow the many conservatives clergy to not lose their homes and ministry which these 3, wouldn't lose, for congregations to still keep their place of worship and minister.
It's a stupid post by Narinder especially as it was timed during when most services take place. But some of the responses saying Christians don't need to go to church are concerning. Whilst some truth, it is also an anti-biblical position to be a Christian and not meet together.
