Our finished products. They were all successful in meeting the design brief - fantastic vessels to hold a tea-light. We are pleased with the finished designs but everyone evaluated their design really effectively, finding areas that could be improved next time. #OJSArt

We’ve finished the creating! We worked so hard and helped each other with tricky bits. We need them to dry now so that we can paint them. We think they look fantastic already. #OJSArt

Making our clay vessels. Our design brief was to create a vessel that would hold a tea light and had a theme of ‘nature’. We have worked so hard with the designing and making. We will now leave them to dry and hope they stay in one piece 🤞🏼🤞🏼

We’ve enjoyed drawing our designs today and then practising skills before making our vessels tomorrow. They have been designed to hold an electric tea-light but we are thinking they may have other uses such as holding jewellery, marbles, coins etc. Tomorrow may get messy! #OJSArt

Fantastic attendance last week. We were able to learn lots because everybody was punctual and present. A super start. #OJSAttendance

Learning how computer networks connect to other networks in different places, using switches & routers. We soon realised how clever the systems are because, as Matilda remarked, our connections were ‘chaotic and slow,’ continuing to suggest we needed extra routers! #OJSComputing

Our new Year 4 children have settled well and have been working hard already - especially with discussions within our RE and Computing work. It was also lovely to see the old Year 4s as very grown-up Year 5s now! We hope all of you enjoy the new school year. 😊🌟

We voted for our first Class Novel of Year 4 today and tried to find a cooler place to enjoy Chapter One. The vote was very close - one more vote for Edward Tulane! 😊

Using inspiration from Salvador Dali and his Surrealist artwork, we created our own dreamlike creatures. We practised different pencil lines to create texture and also experimented with colour, using blending and different tones of colour to add to our creatures. #OJSArt
