Our companies are hard at work preparing their pitches ready to present for our ‘Dragon’s Den’ inspired presentations! They have designed multifunctional navigational tools for an Australian company within DT this week!🧭📈💰
Silver Birch have been busy creating multifunctional devices for our ‘Dragons Den’ DT week. We have coded microbits to include a cardinal compass, a pedometer and a flashlight. We have tested and evaluated our microbits and are pleased to say they are fully functioning. 🧭

Silver Birch investigated whether the amount of paper clips on the paper spinner would change the time it took for the paper spinner to descend to the floor. We spoke about gravity, air resistance and even terminal velocity and included these in our explanations.
Following a fantastic sports day, Cherry class finished the day recognising the great sportsmanship we had seen our peers show throughout the morning by giving them a shoutout in our class discussion! Well done to all who competed and showed excellent team spirit!🌟🍒
We were very excited to compete in our Sports Day, today. Year 5 showed great determination, kindness and enthusiasm throughout the morning and we were very proud of their efforts. Thanks to our supportive parents for making the morning even more special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Silver Birch enjoyed meeting our buddies last week, we took our roles very seriously and were great role models and very friendly. We took the responsibility in our stride and the Year 2s felt very welcomed and happy. ☀️
Liverpool John Moores University hosted ‘ Engineering for All’ , an event to inspire students to become engineers. Mrs Lee took a group of Year 4 and 5 children for a fantastic action packed day!#STEM
