@elonmusk This is so ironic

[Gina Hinojosa @GinaHinojosaTX]

To recap:

The TX Education Agency waited til all results were in from schools for 2023, & THEN RETROACTIVELY set the bar much higher to pass A-F accountability.

120 school districts sued Agency for foul play. The @GregAbbott_TX appointed 15th Court ordered A-F grades released.

Um, I wasn’t staring at anyone’s screen or anything, but that Math test sure had a LOT of reading in it. Just your periodic reminder that tests don’t always measure what we think they’re measuring. 🌈 1/2

[Revolving_Door_Admin @RAD_is_awesome]

I know I've already got you period subbing for one of your colleagues, but since we don't have any subs, I need you to cover a second teacher's class at the same time. Thanks for being a team player!

Students will learn far more from a few class sets of used books, no. 2 yellow pencils, and cheap notebooks than millions spent on Chromebooks, smart boards, and expensive “learning” software

Pencils and paper > screens

@smokinscientist @mrs_banksy Not all fights, I agree. But infidelity is something different.

[Julie Burton @OJulieO]

@jmmtyrrell @mrs_banksy A typical fight, yes don’t say anything. But cheating?!!!! That’s different

[The Principal’s Office @educator4ever36]

Stop making school teachers deliver mental health care. SEL is mental health care. PBIS is mental health care.

[The Principal’s Office @educator4ever36]

Every one working in a public school district’s central office that is not clerical, should be required to sub 10 days in the district EVERY year, including the Superintendent, Chiefs, etc. and it should have to be at 10 different schools. The disconnect between what is happening in schools and what central office thinks is happening has never been wider.

[Julie Burton @OJulieO]

@MrDanielBuck Public schools can reject students, whereas public schools cannot.

Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia has announced new concession prices:

• $2 hot dogs
• $2 waters
• $2 sodas
• $2 chips
• $2 popcorn

A family of four used to spend $98 on hot dogs, water, and popcorn but will now pay $24 instead.

That's awesome 👏

[Senator Roland Gutierrez @RolandForTexas]

We have a $32 billion surplus in Texas, but public schools are being closed and teachers denied raises because @GregAbbott_TX wants to push the school voucher scam on our state.

Cut the bullshit. Fund Texas Public Schools. https://t.co/g6b6arMwko

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

No matter what the corporate elite tell you, let me make something clear:

Universal health care is not radical.

A living wage is not radical.

Dignity in the workplace is not radical.

Higher education without debt is not radical.

Affordable housing is not radical.

[Qasim Rashid, Esq. @QasimRashid]

Cancelling $4T in taxes for 815 billionaires but not $1.7T in student debt for 40M Americans is the modern version of let them eat cake.

[Tom Rogers @RogersHistory]

One of the biggest myths in education: Teaching PE is easy.

Kobe Bryant worked like he had no talent, then he played like he believed he was the best player in the world. Prepare with humility; perform with confidence.
