Just been sent this. The ‘lines to take’ briefing. ‘Extremely harmful to launch a distracting, divisive & destructive leadership contest’ a ‘destructive civil war & leadership contest would ‘Graf on for months alienating voters’ PM a “proven election winner”
🧍♀️ ↔️ 🧍♂️ Social distancing means space for fewer people on-board.
We’re carefully monitoring trains & stations for increased passenger numbers & adding alerts in online Journey Planners where we expect them to be busy. Remember some stations remain closed. #TravelWithConfidence
Following the announcement of a 4 week lockdown in England, Ouselink will continue to run services but at a limited timetable. This will be released in the coming days.
A joint statement said “We are pleased to secure the Ouselink brand and in doing so save the service from financial hardship caused by the pandemic this year. We will work together in continuing to provide effective public transport for our customers.”
This deal has been secured thanks to investment from the Company Owners, Abdul Patel and Victor Kennedy, with Andrew Richards who has sold the company staying on as a director.
Thank you to all our customers who travelled with us safely yesterday on the first day of reopening. Our procedures and policies in place will protect customers and staff from coronavirus. We will keep all aspects of our service under review in the coming days and weeks.
Our service restarts tomorrow morning. All lines will run Mon-Fri 5am-10pm & Sat-Sun 9am-9pm. Social distancing will be enforced with a maximum of 10 people per sectioned carriages of a train. Stations will also adopt safety policies. Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives.
We are pleased to announce the reopening of our network this Monday (18th May), with all lines running to a reduced timetable with social distancing and hygiene measures in place. Trains run approx. every 5-15mins varying by line. Further details will be announced this week.
@J__Chukwuemeka Hi Joe, we are aware of these rumours, but this is not the case I’m afraid. We are following closely with government advice but for now have no plans to resume any services for the time being. Only exception is our ongoing key worker request taxi service with 129C. - Abdul
Due to UK lockdown, 129C have taken the decision to suspend all chartered taxi services to the public from 23:00 today (Tues). As part of a collaboration with @OLRailUK, taxis can only be requested by key workers, in particular NHS staff. ID will be requested by drivers. Thanks.
With the UK’s coronavirus lockdown measures introduced, we regret that from 22:00 today (Tues) we will be ceasing all services & all lines will be closed until further notice. We will keep customers informed as often as possible & hope to resume service soon - Andrew Richards CEO
> From Saturday, services running to Sunday-style timetable (trains average every 10-15 mins) & will run reduced hours (07:00-22:00 every day & 08:00-21:00 Sun)
> All stations by Monday equipped with at least 1 sanitiser pump & sink
> Trains auto-cleaned more often & thoroughly
After our committee meeting this morning, Ouselink can now announce the following measures in place from COVID-19. Due to decreased footfall around usually busy areas we see the demand for services has reduced also. We may see further measures introduced in the coming days/weeks.
In light of the Coronavirus outbreak we remind customers of the importance of handwashing & personal hygiene. At Ouselink we have already introduced measures like sanitiser pumps at some stations. Our committee lead by Andrew Richards CEO are meeting next week to update and plan.
We are aware of a noise issue on the inbound Eastern Line track at Elms East station. This has been caused by faulty track restraint fittings. We apologise for unacceptable noise levels this has caused for customers & have scheduled overnight maintenance on 2 March to correct it.
