It is not our physical appearance, political views, culture, or ethnicity that brings us together in the Savior’s Church—The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
It is our common objective, our love for God and neighbor, and our commitment to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel that unites us to be “one in Christ” (Galatians 3:28). That is what Christ’s true Church is all about. #GeneralConference

If you’ve ever heard that the church isn’t transparent with its history, you might want to listen to this. I hope Latter-day Saints are proud of the completion of the most transparent, accessible, academically rigorous historical project. /1
Today is the 179th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother, Hyrum—my great-great grandfather. Their courage and faith combined with their dedication to serve Jesus Christ and fulfill their earthly missions are traits I have learned from and admired throughout my life.
I recently spoke about Joseph Smith’s role as a missionary and about Joseph and Hyrum’s service as exemplary missionary companions. Below is a link to what I said.
