כמו טונה, נתקעתי עם חלום שמלווה אותי משנות ה-90. להיות סופר. זה התחיל מנבואה של אימא של חבר, שתפסה אותי קורא במדרגות בחושך את "כלבם של בני בסקרוויל", אבל כבר כתבתי על זה בעבר אז לא אקדח שוב.

בכל מקרה, מאז עברו לא מעט שנים ואני כתבתי ללא מעט עיתונים, עוד כשהם היו מנייר והכול – תרבות, ספורט, מגזין וגם המון טורים אישיים. עשיתי כתיבת תוכן כמעט מכל הסוגים, פרסמתי 2 ספרי שירה שזכו להתייחסות מסוימת, עד כמה שספרי שירה יכולים לזכות להתייחסות, ובעיקר בלבלתי לכולם בשכל ברשתות. אבל את הנבואה של אותה אימא לא הגשמתי.

נכון, היה לי את "הספר הגדול", זה שבסופו של דבר נמסר רק לקומץ חברים, והיה גם עוד אחד שלא השלמתי, כי בדרך כלל אני לא משלים דברים. אבל זה לא היה זה.

ואז הגיע פרילנס. ספר שכתוב בצורה ישירה ומספר על אדם שמנסה לפלס לעצמו דרך ייחודית בחברה, לא בהצלחה כבירה. העלילה הועברה בעיקר דרך סיפורי העבודות הלא שגרתיות שהיו לו לאורך השנים, אבל גם דרך דברים אחרים שקורים לו בעולם. חשבתי שזה יוכל אולי לדבר לאנשים.

וזה דיבר. הספר לא קיבל פרסום בשום מקום, אבל מכר כמות צנועה של עותקים שתאמה פחות או יותר את ציפיותיי המינימליות, וגם גרר כמה תגובות טובות, כולל אחת על גב הספר שהגיעה ממישהו שאתם אולי מכירים. אתם יכולים לבדוק. אני גם יודע בוודאות שרוב מי שהתחיל סיים את הספר, וזה כבר סימן טוב. לכל הפחות הדבר הזה קריא. אז רגע, למה אני כותב לכם את כל זה עכשיו?

1. ביום ראשון הקרוב (19.6) יוצא משלוח נוסף של פרילנס, אז נצלו את העובדה שאני כבר בסניף הדואר ורכשו את אחד מהעותקים האחרונים של המהדורה הראשונה!

2. יש לי סוג של בשורה לספר לכם, אבל אני רוצה לספר לכם אותה רק בשלישי הבא (אתם כבר יודעים שיש לי משהו עם המספר 21) ובינתיים אני בונה את המתח בצורה הדרגתית.
