DECLARATION
Today, during a Ramadan lecture and Special prayer for my late dad, Governor Mohammed Lawal I declared my intention to contest as a member of the House of Representatives in Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency.
In my speech, I humbly seek for the support of kwarans to become the flag bearer of the All Progressives Party during the 2023 General Election, while I declared to serve them diligently and in all honesty.
However, I want to thank His Excellency Governor AdbulRahman AbdulRazaq for the opportunity given to me to serve my home, also I extend my appreciation to other leaders of the APC, who have been supportive in prayers, advice, and guidance.
My appreciation will not be complete without extending my gratitude to Kwarans, who have supported me immensely since my appointment as the Commissioner of Water Resources till date. Your support is truly appreciated and valued, thank you as always.
In 4 hours, my followers donated ₦573000 to #SaveALifeInSKaduna, for Southern Kaduna Killings victims. You can also donate. I‘m sending a signed copy of my book to those who donate ₦25,000: Christian Ass’n of Nigeria 2000793432 First Bank. Tweet the deposit receipt. Pls RETWEET
@araisokun I almost single handedly took Abacha out with those Strategic Communications. "If They Give You Rice, Take It.
If they offer you money, or even television, take.
After All It's Your Money.
But Vote For Your Conscience. Vote for A New Beginning.

When former IGP MD Yusuf contested the presidential election in 1999 under the Movement for Democracy & Justice, his party, Onklei’s Person-to-Person Company did a memorable campaign: “If they give you money or food, take it, but don’t vote for them.” Or something to that effect.
@PeluAwofeso Onklei was the name of a group of naughty boys at King’s College, Lagos, including late Gbegi Ojora, Femi Doherty, Ibi Ekineh and Albert Ordia. @ONKLEI was the mentor in the group and, somehow, everyone else in the group called him by the name. It stuck till date.
Today, I visited the LASTMA office to interact with the officers on how to improve travel time within Lagos. I also announced a 100% increase in their allowance effective from July.
Traffic management is very central to our agenda #ForAGreaterLagos.
