@molarawood You either want the story or not. I would feel much better if I'm told "hey, your story ain't right for us at this time," than asking me to mince words with sauce. This is rape people, oozing from the very seat of government! It can only meet with frowns!
@molarawood If there ain't no writers, there won't be jobs for "editors", and there won't be no magazines' reputation to protect. You don't get your 2IC locked out cos of a lil' scuffle over words!
@molarawood ...and then every journalistic code of conduct, law and order goes against me, makes me the bad guy, and so my story must stay down and out, because dear editor, your word is law!? No. No. No. No one's having any breakfasts in peace.
@molarawood 10 years! 10 darned years working for a mag and suddenly I have an editor that calls me impassioned and then ditch both my words and me in the bin, cos of a little what—string of words? He said "pass your mama on to my friends," and I said "gang-rape"...
The lights were out. Ajiri stood beside her bed and occasionally allowed her eyes to dart to her body lying peacefully on it. Nights had been like this for her since she’d assumed human form about a year ago.

It is what it is, people! Away with "sifted journalism" that "elrufies" the truth in the name of "language" and blah blah blah. In your face @brittlepaper ! In your face! I commend your stringent act, sir. Show them not every conscience can be bought or sold.
This what we get for being innovative, defiant, daring. This is what we get for being so @Otosirieze "young" and outspoken. Away with the decadal, decaying, literary tree whose hickories have been infested with political eloquence and tribal worms!
Today, my time as Deputy Editor of Brittle Paper, a platform I'd've given my heart for, came to an end. I was made to leave because of my report on Hadiza El Rufai's comments on her son's gang-rape threat, a report that was taken down. My statement.

@kimathiwamuthee @brittlepaper I smell damage control, and an appeal to my sense of sympathy. Away with the decaying, decadal literary tree whose hickories have been infested with political eloquence and tribal worms! Away! Away! Away!
@kimathiwamuthee @brittlepaper Is this what we get for being innovative, defiant, daring; for being so @Otosirieze "young" and outspoken? This is the other side of the story. . . But something is not adding up.
