This week, @dalfacultyassoc is focusing on limited-term appointments at @DalhousieU. Converting this group of employees to a career stream after 5 years can enhance the stability of the employees and the university!

The faculty lockout further complicates the ability to deliver the necessary curriculum.
It is advisable for the @DalhousieU board to return to the bargaining table with @dalfacultyassoc (DFA) to seek resolution. 5/5

In July of this year, I began my role as an assistant professor at Dalhousie University (@DalhousieU). Less than two months into my employment, the university initiated a lockout affecting members of the Dalhousie Faculty Association (@dalfacultyassoc).🧵🪡
These developments also affect new students at the university. The nursing program, where I teach, involves intensive coursework for both faculty and students due to its substantial content and required practical components within a limited time frame. 4/5.
In the wake of @NMC_Nigeria's new verification policy, I feel so weak, ashamed, and dehumanized. This policy does not impact nurses in Nigeria alone, it affects those in the diaspora who need this service too. We will not be silent! @Callednurse@ICNurses@WHO@inrnigeria.
@Callednurse Very insightful thread @Callednurse.
My one penny: Ask questions in class and don't feel embarassed to contribute or ask questions. It builds your critical thinking and lets you understand the topic more!
