One Piece Writing

Even though One Piece is a well liked series notably for its characters and world building, the writing of the arcs and story of Eichiiro Oda is soo underrated.

@JPeterGod Most One Piece villains didn't get flashbacks yk, big mom and doffy are the only exceptions

Kishimoto sent a thank you email to Oda because he was so moved by the farewell chapter for Going Merry. He also said he was jealous of Chopper because of money.🤣 In 2013, Kishimoto was surprised Oda was drawing a color spread in a hospital when he visited him to cheer him up.

🚨‼️BREAKING: Al Khaleej coach Pedro Emanuel spoke on Cristiano Ronaldo's performance post match

🗣️: "Well, he did it again. We made a special strategy to leave no space for him, but somehow he scored and gave an assist. I'm not angry. I'm privileged to witness the best player in the world."

"He's 38 but still playing like he's 24, what an unbelievable guy. Lots of youngsters from our team as well inspire him. We loved the game, we played great, but he turned out to be the difference."

🗣️Commentator on SSC Sports:

“Extension, in the 118th minute. The match is about to end for everyone and they can't run anymore... except Cristiano Ronaldo.

It's like he just started and he's still contributing, attacking, defending and running all over the field.

Are we sure he's really 38?"

Roberto Martinez (Portugal coach):

“As an opponent it was very difficult to face Cristiano. And so my experience working with Cristiano is incredible. He has a hunger for football that I have never seen before. He is a 38-year-old player who is enjoying himself and the secret to that is the level of commitment and desire he has. And now he is in very good condition, the best in his last seasons."

Shanks is REAL. Crazy good OP episode today! For it being Sho Matsui's SB debut, it was one heck of an episode. Direction & SB was solid and nice, and it was backed up by many great KAs (Yoshiyama, Fasto, and more). Matsui has a bright future ahead!

One Piece: #1081 - Written Review

ED + SB: Sho Matsui
AD: Shigefumi Shingaki

The promising young director from Toei Animation embarks on his first episode in charge of directing and storyboarding. With the adaptation of an important chapter. Therefore, a BIG responsibility in hands.

GreenBull's fight against the red scabbards has a powerful Storyboard, forgive me, but it gave me memories of Atsushi Awakabayashi (Naruto Vs Pain) It made me feel like I was watching something that I like so much, it gave me great goosebumps. Fasto, Yuu Yoshiyama, making extremely powerful animations, which together with Matsui's direction and storyboard made it even better

Shanks received film treatment, the flashback being done with a different filter and even new scenes, shows the director's level of creativity. some scenes in this part flirted with cinematic levels, coloring, animation, all working together.

The part about the admirals is the only part that I found more ´´boring´´ but I don't think there was much to do. We got a beautiful scene of Akainu and even a painting that is clearly inspired by Ishitani

Finally, Shanks' classic and legendary scene from One Piece gave me goosebumps. What power, Matsui!!
