‘Recall that earlier this week, the Senate passed the redrafted Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Act (Amendment) Bill, 2026, introducing heavy penalties for various road and transit-related infractions. Among the newly established rules is a ₦50,000 penalty targeting individuals who trade, hawk, or preach to passengers inside commercial buses.

The bill currently awaits the assenf of President Tinubu.

Ibiyeomie while preaching in his church today said if the law, which he perceives as anti-Christian, is passed, it will cause serious problem in Nigeria. He says he will not be alive and see Christ get humiliated.

He said many Nigerian pastors who led protests during Jonathan’s administration cannot condemn this law because of tribal sentiments and because they have collected money from the current leaders.

The 18th of August 2024, was another epoch making day in Christendom as Bishop Oyedepo finally announced the dedication date of the Ark. One thing was obvious. Regardless of what part of the divide -For or against, despite the large amount of work left to be done, not one person has come out to say the date is not feasible. Clearly the world has learnt from Faith Tabernacle and many examples since then that Bishop Oyedepo is simply not a rabble rouser.

Putting into consideration what has been done so far and what remains, by the time the Ark is rrrady for dedication in November 2025, it will become the fastest building project in history when size are juxtaposed.

It will be 4 years, 8 months and 4 days since the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ark Legacy Project at Canaanland took place on 25th March 2021.

Unlike the usual call for offerings typical of church projects, apart from the Shiloh Sacrofices of 2015 and 2023, Nobody has been asked to make any financial commitments contrary to what many Christians are used to. For me, it is insane and unbelievable that I looked for the account diligently and it took me about 2 years to get. Someone told me-Its like this Church does not need money.

On 25th March 2024, 3 years after the project commenced, nobody in church even announced or made any special call to remind the Church of the project or the need to give a very big seed ‘of completion’ towards it. Infact, there was no reference whatsoever to the project in the 4 services that held. No, this was not how I grew up in my grandparents Church at Ebute Meta where a cathedral was constructed for over 20 years or the one at Ekotedo Ibadan where the Vicar once boasted that the walls of the 600 capacity parish which construction lasted over 10 years.. I am not even referring to our family Pentecostal church opposite North Gate ABU Zaria which took some 5 years to build or the one at Abule Egba which lasted about 7 years.

Remembering Sunday 18th August 2024, I wondered why similar announcements by our governments don’t generate such excitement. It is now over 3 years and 5 months since groundbreaking of the Ark and what was a routine pulpit announcement is getting ready to find its place in the annals of history for many reasons.

The curiousity in me made me check online for all National or State infrastructure projects in Nigeria announced or started in 2020 and 2021 with the same magnitude of the Ark Project (Any project between $150 and $200 million). I saw that none was even near the halfway mark not to talk of nearing completion. Interestingly, I went ahead to check projects from the private sector and none has grown as fast and efficiently as the Ark.

To put this in better and proper context. the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) a church in the Philippines which set out in 2012 to build a 75,000 capacity church costing $212 million had changed their dedication date so many times including their last date- April 2024...Now probably September is being considered while some even say 2025. That is some 12-13 years

What makes the Ark unique?
