@Oregonian "As we're learning and kind of figuring out what works."
@OHSUNews Dr. Peters on prepubescent experimentation of youth gender transition surgeries.
How will OHSU handle it when the tens of millions they get in federal grants go away?
@TinaKotek Thank you for demonstrating Federalism 101.
There is no need for a federal CDC nor dept of Ag, Edu, FDA etc. as states have the inherit resources to do outside of fed.
Strip Fed down to core functions, cut fed taxes accordingly and let states handle these non-fed functions.
@TinaKotek The main surgeon for OHSU'S gender transition program discussing how they are "figuring out" child gender transition.

@TinaKotek Oregon Governor Kotek protecting rapists and drug lords.
Cartel leaders arrested in Salem.https://t.co/AslWqr9O1m
You refuse to cooperate with ICE when trying to remove people such as Vicente Margarito Lopez-Sixto who paid for child sex.

@TinaKotek It would have been way more useful for the governor and her fellow @ORDems to come out against this IP while it was in petition form and NOT after signatures were successfully gathered.
@BrionMcClanahan Thoughts on the Pledge of Allegience?
For myself after reading Federalist papers, listening to you and others on what it means to be a federation I have reservations about "Pledging Allegience" to the nation.
Allegience to state before nation is how it seems it should be.
@KOINNews Feds get money from states.
Fed launders money back to states in form of programs like Medicaid.
Solution: cut out fed middleman and states take care of their own Medicaid style programs.
Cut fed taxes accordingly.
Federalism 101.
This is how it is supposed to be.
@TinaKotek@LewFrederick This is the Federalism our founders wanted for the US.
Kotek is demonstrating the states are capable of fulfilling their own Medicaid type requirements without fed involvement.
Go all the way. Abolish fed control of all functions states can do and cut fed taxes accordingly.
@spencerpratt Prior govt experience is a borderline disqualifier in a blue state/city!
When critics bring up my lack of "government experience" I quickly point out the experienced government people are not only the main cause of these problems but they are making them worse.
@KGWNews Portland Breaking federal law and...
Section 20 of Article I in the Oregon Constitution:
No law shall be passed granting to any citizen or class of citizens privileges, or immunities, which, upon the same terms, shall not equally belong to all citizens.

@TinaKotek@LewFrederick So much fear mongering over Orange Man.
Oregon has the same zero restrictions on abortion since Trump's first term (pun intended) 10 years ago.
Oregon is still funding abortion for residents and non-residents as they did 10 years ago.
@TinaKotek History remembers Kotek voted for HB 2017 that opened Tolling in OR.
If @ORDems like Kotek were serious about the tolls issue they would either:
1. Outright recall the tolling language in HB 2017.
Or
2. Sponsor and pass the current Vote on Tolls petition as legislation.
@GovTinaKotek Kotek and the @ORDems promised 30,000 new homes a year and failed.
2023 she declared a "Homelessness State of Emergency".
One party control of the Oregon government and they have proven they are all talk with no results.

@pdxmoderate Feckless @wweek leading that Schnitzer's push for aggressive tax cuts is "Self Serving" THEN next paragraph saying he is most qualified person to make that observation due to his massive business stake in Oregon.
Local media is part of the problem always endorsing incumbents.
@ORHumanServices mandatory reporting training has conflicting information.
DHS states the abuse rate happens proportionally equal across demographics.
At the same DHS states Black/African American abuse has higher reporting AND substantiating rate.
Which is it?
@oregonducksmama Sister cities such as Fresno and Milwaukie somehow are able to operate with budgets 1/4 Portland's budget.
$2-2.3 billion compared to Portland's $8+ billion, with massive shortfalls.
@MayorKWilson would be well served to download those city budgets as a template.
@DSBeefin@pdxmoderate@momma_pdx@SageOfTheMtn The US Constitution limits Fed authority.
The only real restriction on states in the US Constitution is specifying the type of state govt.
It specifies all other authorities not specified are left to the states.
Dept of Ag, edu, health etc should all be states, not fed.
@pdxmoderate@momma_pdx@SageOfTheMtn Disagree as long as we abolish fed level duplicate agencies.
The Constitution doesn't give fed authority to oversee medicine, food, etc.
States have academic resource and capability to do this work.
Let states coordinate these functions outside the fed.
More the merrier.
