This shit needs to stop. It's corruption and shows that there remains separate rules for those "in the club" and those that are not.
And we wonder why there is such discontent with government.
Sen. Bernie Sanders: “I strongly urge my House colleagues to vote against the bipartisan infrastructure bill until Congress passes a strong reconciliation bill.”
This morning, I had such a great time at Creekfest in Zionsville. We were able to get some old signs, bottles, glass, metal, a tire, etc. out of the creek. Thanks to the organizers and thanks to all who volunteered in the cleanup. Cleaning up our waterways!
Thank you to the more than 2,300 people who joined me tonight in Indiana to talk about the desperate need to invest in the working people of this country. If we stand together, we can build a new future based on justice.
Congress just took a HUGE step toward enacting the most consequential legislation for working people since the New Deal. A lot of work is left, but we are on track to meet the long-neglected needs of the working class and combat the threat of climate change. Let’s get it done.
A few IN State Senators fighting for working people: Senator Fady Qaddoura, Senate Minority Leader Greg Taylor, and Senator JD Ford!
They’re writing postcards to @SenatorBraun & @SenToddYoung asking them to support the PRO Act - the most important pro-worker bill in generations
It is interesting that my colleagues across the aisle, who pretty much spent the entire session undoing Gov. Holcomb’s Executive Order powers, are now asking that he intervene in the IU situation by issuing an executive order. 🤔
Of the 32 MILLION workers who would benefit from raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour:
- 59% are women
- 31% are Black
- 26% are Latino
This is not just about economic justice — raising the minimum wage would significantly narrow the gender and racial pay gap. Let's do it.
Walmart & McDonald's pay wages so low that tens of thousands of their workers are forced to rely on food stamps, Medicaid & public housing. I invited the CEOs of these companies to a hearing to explain why they can't afford to pay a $15 minimum wage. Taxpayers deserve an answer.
This is the height of corporate greed. The owners of Kroger choose to shut down stores instead of simply paying the workers risking their lives who make their corporate profits possible. Absolutely despicable.

Amazon doesn’t want its workers to form a union because unionized workers have:
- higher wages
- better benefits
- more control over their lives
If Amazon workers in Alabama vote to form a union, that will benefit every worker in America.
Oh look, another billionaire is mad that he might have to pay more taxes while children in America go hungry and veterans sleep on the street. Cry me a river. Yes. We will make Wall Street billionaires pay their fair share of taxes and create an economy that works for all of us.
Listen up.
If I can wear a mask 😷, AND coveralls, jeans, shirt, Kevlar sleeves, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, & ear plugs for 8 hours a day in a factory w/o AC that frequently sustains 95F in summer, YOU CAN WEAR 1 FOR 20 MINS IN THE GROCERY STORE IN SHORTS AND A TANK TOP!
