@WilySnowPena@BengalsCaptain Except in that circumstance, the defender was at least intending to hit the QB from the get go. The QB was right in front of him and the defender launched forward with the intention of hitting him.
@UwDienstwillige So funny. “I want all the smoke,” but don’t want your leading goal-scorer to play. I’m not sure you know what “I want all the smoke” means.
@kendallott2@nut_history You can. They’re almost always in fair territory. You can high five them standing on a base. That’s in fair territory. The rule has nothing to do with where the kid is, it’s about the purpose of the contact.
@09okie@nut_history You can touch the runner. You just can’t touch him for the purpose of affecting his base running or base running decisions. You are allowed to give a high five to a base runner. But that’s clearly not what the base coach is doing in this video.
@kendallott2@nut_history You’re allowed to give a kid a high five in fair territory. But that’s not what he was doing. He was clearly grabbing that kid to stop him from trying to advance to second base.
@eQuelizer5@RogerDorn5@DrDetroit_79@OleTimeHardball You really don’t make any sense. There’s never been an allegation that I’ve ever heard from anyone that he ever bet on his team to lose. Without such a bet, why would he or his teammates ever tank? What incentive would they ever have to do that without a bet on the Reds to lose?
@RogerDorn5@eQuelizer5@DrDetroit_79@OleTimeHardball There are some weird takes in here. How is a sometimes-bettor advantaged by any outcome in a game in which he has not bet? There’s no incentive to lose a game that you haven’t bet on to have a losing outcome.
@eQuelizer5@DrDetroit_79@OleTimeHardball Where do you get that he ever threw a game? I’ve never even heard that alleged. Just that he bet on his own team (to win).
@bracketboard_ If a team picked up in the portal DeRidder (1st team All ACC), Grunloh (3rd in the nation in blocks), Mallory (should’ve been 6th man of the year in the ACC), and Lewis (3 pt. assassin), it would be offseason in the country, but bc they just stayed at UVa, it gets no recognition.
