How to handle all the different python/R/etc. package versions and create reproducible & shareable environments for your own research projects? Big thanks to @OSIP_Dresden for the great opportunity to give a short introduction into conda, renv, and synthpop.
To solve this problem, @PJawinski will introduce the two environment managers ‘renv’ and ‘conda’ and will offer a glimpse in how to use ‘synthpop’ to create synthetic datasets when original data cannot be shared publicly. (5/5)

there are nine other packages plus their dependencies that will either be downloaded in their latest versions, or previous releases may be taken from the user’s current R library. As a consequence, researchers end up with varying software environments that hamper reproducibility.
From data sampling and analysis to writing and publishing📋 Starting next month, we are back discussing papers on what #OpenScience methods are most helpful to tackle the various stages of research projects.🤓 Stay tuned!☕️ @tudresden_de
