#OSSTF joins the call for Ford to rethink Bill 166 #OnPSE#OnPoli
Today, April 28th, is #NationalDayOfMourning.
We must pause and reflect on those who have suffered injury, illness or worse while just going to work to do their job. And, we must never let our guard down for raising the need of safety and security for those in our workplaces.
Last week I rose to debate the Agriculture Research and Institute of Ontario Amendment act.
This bill will bring agriculture research in Ontario into the 21st Century. Farmers make a vital contribution to our economy, and I'm glad to see the government support the research that strengthens agriculture in this province.
I'll echo the OFA and urge the government to keep farmers involved every step of the way. And I urge the govt to provide the U of G with the funding they need to continue their outstanding research.
