This AM, through the windows of the bustling #Starbucks on 6th Ave, I witnessed a woman kindly whisper to a 2nd woman, who was rushing out of the store with 4 coffees in hand. The 2nd woman looked down at her shirt, which was inside out, and smiled and thanked the 1st woman.
Having a cold is always miserable (and plain yucky). Having congestion, a hacking cough, and a red chapped nose on a beautiful, sunny, 90 degree day in June, however, just seems unfair and downright wrong. It is almost like Mother Nature is laughing at (or punishing) me.
Wed. @ 9:45 PM: the PATH to NJ was filled with all sorts of vibrant and unique passengers. Across from me, in purple NYU scrubs, sat a young woman. She spent the whole ride watching a dance video on her phone, and replicating moves from her seat. Making time for her #sidehustle.

There is nothing quite like the moment each year when, for the first time, you feel the sun’s warm and inviting rays, are comsummed with the smell of your favorite suntan lotion (i.e., Hawaiian Tropic), and can take a deep breath, and a sigh of relief, as you welcome summer.
On Madison Ave, I walked by a distinguished looking older gentleman(presumably a tourist), sitting alone at a bistro table, smoking a classic tobacco pipe, with no electronics (even a phone) or reading materials in sight - observing masses of preoccupied NYers rush to work.
@ 7 this morning, the elevator doors opened into my building’s lobby, and there, ready to depart, was a grown man, in business attire, standing on a razor scooter. He proudly “scootered” out of the elevator, down the hall, though the lobby, out the front door, & out of my sight.
