Watching a documentary on particle physics and a tour of CERN where scientists all around the world work together (including Pakistani scientists) and the part, the most heaviest where the collision happens have a sticker of Pakistan’s flag.
So I searched and found out that Pakistan did contribute to it, mainly through the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and the Heavy Mechanical Complex in Taxila.
They manufactured hundreds of Resistive Plate Chambers — special detectors used in the CMS experiment to catch particles from those collisions. They actually beat out big Japanese and Chinese firms for the contract.

Was watching this vlog by a German dude visiting Pakistan and I nearly died laughing. The poor guy kept begging people that he's full and can't eat anymore but every Pakistani lad he runs into kept feeding him more. This one Pakistani guy nearly runs him over on a motorbike and then makes a u-turn and invites him for coffee. This is bananas. And also something I love about Pakistani culture. I'm gonna be watching more of these foreigner vlogs from Pakistan in my free time just for the hilarity that ensues. 😆

شیو کمار بٹالوی لکھتا ہے اور کیا خوب لکھتا ہے ۔۔ اس کے الفاظ درد کے سرور میں ناچتے جھومتے گاتے ہیں ۔۔ ہمیں بھی رلاتے ہیں ۔۔
یہ درد بڑی عجیب شے ہے دوستو ۔۔ اس کا فلسفہ نہ سمجھنے کا ہے نہ سمجھانے کا ۔۔۔ معلوم نہیں کہاں اور کب یہ بیج ہم جیسے دیوانوں کے دل کے آنگن میں گڑ جاتا ہے اور پیپل کی طرح ہمارا خون پی کر پھلتا پھولتا رہتا ہے۔۔ پھر ایک وقت آتا ہے کہ خوشی کی کیاریاں پھولوں سے لد بھی جائیں ۔۔ تب بھی ہم اس درخت کو سینچتے رہتے ہیں ۔۔ اس کی گھور گھنی شاخوں کے سائے میں چپ چاپ بیٹھ کر زندگی کے سود و زیاں کا حساب کرتے کرتے آخرکار ہم فنا ہو جاتے ہیں ۔۔ کسی کو خبر بھی نہیں ہوتی !

اکثر پڑھتے ہیں کہ جسم سے پہلے دل مرتا ہے ۔۔ روح مرجاتی ہے ۔۔ خواہش خاک ہوجاتی ہے ۔۔۔ جینے کی۔۔ خوش رہنے کی خواب دیکھنے کی اور پھر ان خوابوں کو حقیقت کا روپ دھارتے دیکھنے کی ۔۔۔ سب درد کے پیپل کی جڑوں میں دفن ہوتا رہتا ہے ۔۔ ہمارے ساتھ رہنے والوں کو پتہ ہی نہیں چلتا کہ کب کہاں کیسے ہم ان سے بچھڑ گئے ۔۔ جو ساتھ ہے وہ سایہ ہے ۔۔۔ سایہ چاہے بھی تو کتنا ساتھ دیتا ہے بھلا ؟

دو ہزار انیس ۔۔۔ تئیس دسمبر کی شام جب رخت سفر باندھا تھا تو معلوم تھا کہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں کی یاد آسیب بن کر چمٹی رہے گی ۔۔ رلائے گی ۔۔ کیونکہ ہم وہی ہیں ۔۔۔ بیوقوف ۔۔ کم عقل ۔۔۔ ہم سوچتے رہتے ہیں کہ جو آگے بڑھ گیا کیا اسکو ہماری یاد نہ آئے گی ؟ چھوٹے چھوٹے لمحات وہ خوشیاں جو وقت سے پہلے جنم لینے والے نومولود کے جیسے بہت جلد مر گئیں ۔۔۔ کوئی دلہن جس کے تن پر عروسی جوڑا سجنے سے پہلے ہی لیر و لیر ہو گیا ہو ۔۔۔ ذہن میں موجود خوشحال زندگی کے خاکے میں رنگ بھرنے کی کوشش کی تو پتہ چلا کہ کاغذ جگہ جگہ سے داغدار ہے اور رنگ بھی سوکھ چکے ہیں ۔۔ تو پھر کیا کیجیے ایسی زندگی کا ؟

ہم چلے آئے ۔۔ سنبھل بھی گئے شائد مگر وہ ماہ و سال وہ وقت جو اس رشتے کی نظر ہوگیا ۔۔ وہیں قید رہ گئے ہم ۔۔ ہمارا وجود بظاہر آزاد لیکن اندر سے دیکھیے تو ہزار زنجیروں سے جکڑا ہوا ۔۔
زندگی بڑی کم بخت ہے ۔۔۔ مرضی سے رکتی نہیں ۔۔ سو چل رہی ہے ۔۔۔ ہم بھی چل رہے ہیں ۔ کندھوں پر زمہ داریوں کا بوجھ ہے اور ساتھ چند دوست جو ہمت بندھانے ہیں ۔۔۔ گرنے پر ہاتھ پکڑ کر اٹھا بھی لیتے ہیں اور چلتے رہنے کی ترغیب بھی دیتے ہیں ۔۔ لیکن زاد راہ وہی ہے ۔۔۔ وہی دکھ ۔۔۔ وہی پیپل کا گھنا درخت بن جانے والا ہرا بھرا دکھ !

کبھی ہم جیسوں کے چہرے غور سے دیکھیے ۔۔۔ ہماری ہنسی خود ہم پر قہقہے لگاتی ہے ۔۔ تالیاں پیٹتی ہے ۔۔ ڈھول تاشے بجاتی ہے ۔۔۔ اور ہم ہر شے تیاگے چلے جارہے ہیں ۔۔۔ دنیا کے کھیل تماشوں سے کچھ لمحے من بہلاتے ہیں اور پھر دکھ کا جھولا اٹھائے چل پڑتے ہیں ۔۔ کسی بےنام بنجارے کی طرح ۔۔
