@lonelyfag15 As I understand, it doesn't show up on GWAS or twin studies, so unlikely it's genetic. Ive personally favoured the "learned behavior" theory a la a baby bird imprinting on its mother. This would explain why it appears innate but isn't genetic, and why it's persistent across time
