This is a kindly reminder that those who lost their lives at sea today are PEOPLE. Before you label them whatever labels you wish remember that first and foremost they are “PEOPLE”, they are HUMAN BEINGS with souls, hearts, dreams and aspirations just like you and me.
This is the worst humanitarian disaster connected to the Channel in recent times. The current approach is not working. Our Government needs to face up to this, talk to its European neighbours, & create a smarter system to allow people to claim asylum safely.
