Speaking at the inaugural, @jagada_odisha said, "We stand today at a critical intersection of demographic transition and climate resilience. These two profound forces influence everything. It makes me happy that our state recently finalised its vision document, laying out its bold long-term aspirations. But to realise this vision, we need hands on the ground, institutions that work together and partnerships built with purpose. In this context, OVC is a space for collective imagination. One of the highlights this year is the institutionalisation of a Just Transition Forum."

🗣️Speaking at the inaugural session, Programme Director for Just Transition and Climate Change, @sresthab said, "Climate change is no longer just a scientific concern—it is a development challenge. Its impacts are being felt locally, especially in climate-vulnerable states like Odisha, where rising heat and rapid urbanisation demand climate-resilient growth pathways. Climate action must be people-centred, inclusive, and rooted in just transition principles. As we build a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy—across cities, rural areas, agriculture and industry—the private sector and civil society must move together. Our new Climate and Just Transition Forum aims to bring citizens, industry and institutions into this collective effort to embed climate considerations at the heart of development planning"

Headlining the event, Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS (@SecyAgriGoI), said, “We must build a system that allows us to work collectively for the state’s progress, enabling every citizen to contribute —that is people-centric development.
