They met with 25+ Members of Congress in D.C., joined events with U.S.-Ukraine BC & GMF, and are now in Norfolk, VA for follow-on programming—hosted by the Norfolk Sister City Association.

In memory of President Carter, we at COIL wanted to share this 2000 letter from our founder James H. Billington to James Carter III about @FriendshipForce, and a 1999 photo of Carter with an early COIL delegation hosted by the Friendship Force in Atlanta.

His legacy lives on.
