Itβs only 2 mos into this admin & our fraught, unjust immigration system will not transform in that time.
Thatβs why bold reimagination is so impt.
DHS shouldnβt exist, agencies should be reorganized, ICE gotta go, ban for-profit detention, create climate refugee status & more.
@findlayassholes Exactly. People really need to learn how this whole "world wide web" works. π€¦π½ββοΈ NOTHING you post is a crime. People are just ignorant.
@TPartile@findlayassholes @picassosgirl2 IF her home life is so awful, then I would say it is her home life that is pushing her to the edge, and she should speak up to a friend, a teacher, whomever. That's exactly what I had to do to get myself out of that type of household. She's plenty old enough to speak up.
@TPartile@findlayassholes @picassosgirl2 People do change, that's correct. And when shit like this happens, sometimes it lights a fire under their ass to make that change.
@TPartile@findlayassholes @picassosgirl2 If their home life is so awful, then what makes you think they wouldn't kill themselves over that? If we live by the notion that being held responsible for our actions will result in suicide, then this world is about to have some SERIOUS issues.

@r6922a@DaizeeBuchanan@findlayassholes My dad has had it since infancy, and I understand how bad it can get. Covering her whole body seems pretty extreme, and that maybe an ER trip would have been necessary at that point. So it definitely seems plausible that the baby was being medically neglected.
@DaizeeBuchanan@findlayassholes Also, I have been dx with ADHD, bipolar, major depressive disorder, PTSD, AND anxiety. I, too, lost custody of my oldest child (but not to CPS) for a short amount of time. Not a single diagnosis kept the judge from having her returned. I went on to raise her for 15 yrs ALONE. JS.
@findlayassholes I mean, is it really that inconvenient to turn your vehicle off and back on? Each takes a split second, so why not just do something so simple to protect yourself and everyone around you. Why does this sound so familiar? Oh. Right. π·
