"Catch the Wind"
Donovan
1964/1965
Donovan in the 1960s was said to be the UK's answer to Bob Dylan.
(The story behind the song is very romantic, with a happy ending)
@HedgehogCabin Do you mind sending me the hospital address by DM?
I promise to safeguard it.
My daughter loves hedgehogs & is coming to Hampshire soon for a week. She'd love to visit you & we'd both leave a gift for the patients' care.
@WaterwayDreamer Wow. He must have shock absorbers for his spine!
My sister's bloke registered a patent of the hull shape of his RIBs. His current 1 has 2 huge outboard motors, when he gets to Cowes it's before he left Langstone Harbour (so it seems when I'm on board lol)
9 bob note was one of my Dad's favourites too.
Also "As qu**r as a concrete parachute"!
Like L P Hartley said, it was a foreign country, they did things differently there !
@WaterwayDreamer My racing boss at that time was a handling engineer for Nissan in the day job.
Bill told me many times that Ford dynamics were superior to all the Germans, BMW, Audi, Mercedes.
Porsche of course didn't count, like Citroén they are fab & break all the rules
@WaterwayDreamer @PGSound_Tim The uncertainty is kinda thrilling, will she be there or not, if she is, is it Sophia or Sophie, never a dull moment (except when you're missing!)
Are you saying you've forsaken the boat for a fortnight?
