“I urge everyone on the City Council to support students that are historically left behind and uplift their futures. As a high school senior, I see the importance of AA in students’ lives and educational future in getting all students to and through college.” - Jonathan Piper II
“ The Labor Council is in full support of Measure AA and urge the Oakland City Council to collect and escrow the Measure AA funds to improve children’s lives in Oakland and support public education.” - Liz Ortega of Alameda Labor Council

In ONE WEEK Councilmembers will voting on whether or not they will collect & escrow the AA tax. If they block the tax, they will forever forfeit $30 million for our schools & kids. Will you join us on April 16 to show your support for AA? https://t.co/gKd2JkCNfd
Nearly 1 in every 5 Oaklanders live at or below the poverty line. AA ensures that all our vulnerable children have an equal shot at a quality education. Tell City Council to vote with their values & implement AA.
Abandoning AA would mean aboning between $3.6 million and $13.5 million in the first 3 years alone for teachers, students & workers. Tell City Council to do what's right by implementing AA and delivering this funding to our public schools.
Measure AA was brought to the ballot by Oaklanders, supported by Oakland teachers and families, and passed by 62.5% of Oakland. Time for city council to honor these voices, and take a stand for our progressive values, and support our kids and teachers.
April 16th is just around the corner but we need your help. Call/email your councilmembers at [email protected]: tell them to stand up for our children & make sure that our education system has the funding it needs by collecting & escrowing the AA tax!
The Oakland Literacy Coalition and @StephenCurry30 agree! Today is the day to support Measure AA @OaklandChildren! Thank you for getting the word out for Oakland families!
Before you head to the polls tomorrow, I wanted to share my ballot recommendations and candidate endorsements for the 2018 midterms. I hope you’ll take these into consideration before voting.
Have you voted? There’s still time to get to the polls. Don't sit this one out and hand over important decisions that affect your life to someone else.
If you’ve already voted, check in with your friends and family to make sure they’ve voted, too! #VoteToday#WhenWeAllVote
