I create in a somewhat meditative state. I make and make and make, allowing myself to explore what interests my mind. I then leave the results for weeks, months or even years to be rediscovered by future me, so he can choose something he likes.

Found this video from a test I tried a while ago. It's a brief glimpse into what I get to see when I'm making. All the physical structures are transparent so it can be a useful technique to see what effect a change I have made will have.

Sometimes I don't have enough time to focus on a piece I want to make but I still want to see something new, so I make up little experiments and spend an hour or two playing and making notes. It all contributes to something in the end.
