This will make a lot of sense to you if this is your reality.

This post resonated with me because Zibah and I moved to the UK the same month & year, and we don’t even talk or live close to each other.

But how can my reality be almost exactly his? That’s not coincidence.

It simply shows we’ve both faced the same thing, the reality of being immigrants in a system that actually works.

One of the ways to pass through this phase is literally what’s in Zibah’s post.

Because when you land here, you start to see the difference clearly.

In the UK, money is not magic, it’s structure. You can earn consistently: weekly, monthly, through jobs, contracts, side paths.

It’s not easy, but it’s predictable enough that you can build something real over time.

That changes how you see crypto.

Crypto stops being “survival” and becomes what it should be, LEVERAGE.

But that’s not the same reality back home

But this only fully makes sense if you’re operating inside a system that actually works.

In the UK, you can make money consistently, weekly, monthly, through normal structures. Jobs, side income, contracts.

It’s not perfect, but it’s reliable enough that you can step away from crypto, come back with capital, and still be fine.

Nigeria is not like that.

The issue isn’t that people are “too deep” in crypto, it’s that outside crypto, there’s almost nothing reliable to fall back on.

That’s why many people treat it as full-time. Not because it’s ideal, but because it’s accessible.

A lot of us left for that exact reason, lack of opportunity.

Also, something I’ve personally had to learn this past year, and part of why I haven’t posted since January is the difference between principles and exceptions.

The big, life-changing crypto wins people see are mostly exceptions.

They happen, but they’re not consistent and they’re not something you can rely on.

Principles are what give you steady, repeatable income over time, the boring, structured paths that compound. And those only really work well in systems where consistency exists.

Because in Nigeria, waiting for “steady” to happen can leave you stuck.
So people lean into crypto hoping to hit an EXCEPTION.

But in places like the UK, you can build on principles first, and then let crypto be the upside when ALIGNMENT and timing hit.

So yeah, same game, different conditions.
