If you have watched corporations build enormous surveillance systems and data centers while federal agencies acquire ever more sophisticated tools to track people, this is your struggle.

If inequality hadn't exploded after 1979, middle-income households would be making $30,000 MORE per year.
That's a second income. A paid-off car. A college fund. Instead, we're turning hobbies into side hustles just to keep up.
The money didn't disappear. It went to the top.
Israel Bombs Newly Built Water Desalination Plant in Gaza
For nearly two months, Palestinians in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood had access to water at any time — a welcome sense of stability in the depths of a genocidal war. On Aug. 24, that stability was disrupted by an Israeli airstrike that destroyed the newly built water desalination plant and damaged apartment buildings and tents.
Standing next to rubble and forcibly displaced from the airstrikes, Louay Al-Namnam told Unicorn Riot that at least 14 Palestinian families were now looking for “somewhere to live.”
“We were sitting safely inside the complex,” he said, “when suddenly someone approached us and told us to leave because the area was about to be bombed. A water desalination plant was struck first, and then the complex itself was hit.”
The water plant had provided free desalinated water to families and over a dozen shelters and collectives. The bombing worsens Gaza City’s drinking-water crisis which impacts 92% of the population.
According to Al Jazeera, the owner of the desalination plant estimated his losses to be at least $500,000 with the machines half of that amount. The plant which was totally destroyed was carefully assembled with hard to obtain equipment and materials.

It’s no shock that the Right and Big Tech are targeting the same three institutions—if Democrats don’t take action to defend them, we can kiss our democracy goodbye. via @hamiltonnolan https://t.co/kisu5xmLUW

The Trump administration, Columbia Trustees, & the pro-Israel establishment tried to silence me and make an example of me to chill pro-Palestine speech in this country. They failed.
I'm glad my book is out now to expose what they did, and what they're still doing to others.

Grocery workers in Washington state have been taking a stand against Israel's genocide in Gaza and state-sanctioned settler violence in the occupied West Bank by wearing union watermelon pins to work. The watermelon is a symbol of solidarity with the Palestinian struggle, since it was first used in 1967 after the Israeli state took control of Gaza and the West Bank and prohibited the Palestinian flag from being displayed in public for more than two decades.
Recently, workers at the Seattle-area grocery stores of the PCC Community Markets have been sent home early from their shifts for wearing pins with the watermelon symbol, and also pins with the Palestinian flag. The PCC bosses have claimed the pins were “too political” to have at work. The UFCW 3000, which is Washington state’s largest union and represents grocery workers, including those at PCC, created union pins with the watermelon symbol in response to this retaliation by PCC management. Since then, numerous workers across multiple stores have worn these union pins to stand not only with the Palestinian people, but also with their fellow union members facing attacks from the bosses.
Under national labor law, workers have a right to wear their union’s pins on the job. Despite this, the bosses went even further by egregiously firing a worker at Seattle’s Greenlake Village PCC for continuing to wear the pin, continuing to say the pins were "too political". The bosses don't hesitate to violate labor law when it is in their interests to do so, and they are shielded by the Democratic & Republican parties, both of which serve the bosses. The only way for us as workers to defend our rights and to win major improvements in our lives is to get organized and take collective action to fight the bosses and their political servants.
Come out TOMORROW, Sunday September 27th at 12pm PT, at Columbia City PCC in Seattle, to rally and picket with grocery workers and union members to defend our rights to fight in solidarity with the Palestinian people!
