At 63 years old, Osman Ibrahim carried the burden of caring for eight children after displacement stripped his family of their livelihood and left them facing hunger and uncertainty.
When he arrived at Misaare IDP Camp in Buurhakaba, he had little hope for the future. Today, he is rebuilding his life with renewed confidence and dignity.
Osman is one of 1,000 vulnerable households supported through the @Somali_Cash, in partnership with @SaveChildrenSO in Buurhakaba and Qansaxdheere districts.
Through the project, he received USD 100 per month for three consecutive months, helping him meet urgent needs and take the first steps toward rebuilding his livelihood.

During the drought in #Somalia, cash assistance has been a crucial part of @WFP's response.
Cash enables families to:
π² buy food
π pay for medicine
π΅ and purchase other basic essentials.
Thanks to @OCHAFunds for making this support possible for most in need.
πΈ A healthy start begins with access to essential care.
Together with #UNICEF, @MoH_Somalia is supporting mothers like Halimo to keep their children healthy and protected.
π΄ Hunger
π΄ Water scarcity
π΄ Disease
π΄ Forced displacement
π΄ Family separation
These are ways civilians bear the brunt of war.
The rules of war must be upheld. ‡οΈ
