#im74 A3: People tend to be impulsive and comment/post on social media without deeply analysing the contents. This could impact the quality of the idea refinement. A positive aspect is instead that s.networks open up to more contribution and inputs
@IM_CTF @BoFemtvik #im74 I would say yes, whenever possible, if the change is undoubtely positive. Again context and final outcome are crucial to decide each time how to proceed.
@IM_CTF#im74 Eg: when developing a campaign, it was easier to get and refine good ideas: generally such activities are more adaptive. Conversely, sometimes creativity is limited when the final outcome is specific/concrete outcome/product with strict requirements
#im74 A2 part 1: Unexpected/unapplicable outcomes, misunderstanding (i.e. the revised idea shifts from the original scopes and/or becomes confused), additional resources needed to put it in place, different views on priorities/aspects to include.
#im74 A2 part 2: To possibly overcome idea refinement issues: one has to know/pick the team players very well, define as clearly as possible objectives, anticipate possible challenges and keep room for flexibility
@IM_CTF#im74 That's for sure, I totally agree. This is the core difficulty of the refinement stage. Also, it depends on the context and the results to be achieved. There is no single recipe!
#im74 A1: to refine ideas in a good way, it's good to have some kind of guidelines/ways to channel creativity towards the final outcome (to be well defined from the very start as included in the course readings)

@KarinEcheverri@DrJNetz#im74 I bet so! I experienced something similar, as to say, managers listening to your ideas but always thinking theirs are better. Result: no improvement nor motivation on the long run :-p
#im74 A3 follow-up: motivation can be destroyed when feedback is not given or does not sound honest. Also, when just a few are always rewarded and giving ideas feels more like an extra work rather than a nice contribution
#im74 A4: Ideation is not a 1-size-fits-all process and requires the right approach for the start. Analysing the starting situation, selecting contributors and goal(s) to achieve is crucial. It's the only way to shape a process correctly. Also, sharingsharingsharing experiences!
#im74 A3: Intrinsic motivation within a work environment needs to be built day by day, by trusting ideators and their proposals, giving feedback and explanations and making them feel part of the company achievements
@Lilieqvist_ @DrJNetz@IM_CTF@KarinEcheverri#im74 Good point. There might be a highly-proficient group for technicalities and another to explore freely other aspects. Still, who/how to screen ideas, match the two sides and give priority? Good selection criteria have to be defined ahead not to generate disappointment.
#im74 A2: Involving people with mixed background for the ideation process can be negative if the outcome is something that requires specific knowledge. The Ideas generated might in fact be confused, in conflict with each other and/or not applicable at all.
