Thanks for sharing this. To clarify, the screenshot absolutely shows you were in the Zoom waiting room. What it does not show is that our team intentionally prevented you from entering.

We have team members actively admitting candidates for the first 5–10 minutes of every interview, and often longer. With 200+ candidates joining, there can occasionally be individual Zoom, device, or connectivity issues outside of our control.

This is exactly why candidates are instructed to join on time, from a desktop or laptop, with a stable internet connection.

Hundreds of candidates successfully joined the same interview. We certainly have no reason to invite someone to an interview and then intentionally prevent them from attending.

We don’t assume candidates have zero industry knowledge. Applicants come from a wide range of backgrounds some have call center, sales or appointment-setting experience, while others may be new to the industry.

A resume helps our Career Development Team evaluate each candidate’s experience, skills and overall fit.

Training is provided to prepare qualified candidates for placement; it does not replace the application and screening process.

As for legitimacy, we encourage due diligence. You can review our website, LinkedIn and other official social platforms, as well as independently verify Octotasker LLC through the Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz). We’ve been registered in Florida since 2020 and are currently ACTIVE.

Social media activity isn’t what determines whether a company is legitimate our corporate registration and operating history are independently verifiable.

Official correspondence from our Career Development Team regarding this interview would come through our designated Octotasker recruiting channels. Other Octotasker recruiters may have been copied on correspondence, but they would use Octotasker-associated addresses.

You’re correct that there was an automation error on Friday, the scheduling link failed to populate correctly for some candidates. Once identified, the issue was corrected and affected candidates received the proper scheduling link. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention. An automation error doesn’t make a company illegitimate or unserious. Octotasker has been operating globally since 2020.

There’s no contradiction here. You applied for an Appointment Setter position, not a training program. Octotasker recruits and screens candidates for employment opportunities and also provides certified training, career development, and placement with our employer partners. Specific employer information is provided during the placement process.
