The Uncanny Horror of 'Possibly In Michigan'│ODDIXX https://t.co/YjQMbso9WY
my first video essay is live now, check out the story of two women wandering a shopping mall and being stalked by a cannibal
I think you could feasibly do gemeni as a sort of conspiracy unraveling film but there is no way you can do even a single aspect of MM in a feature length. That series has james dean as the devil and richard nixon becomes god.
@Ryunney Another thing about MM is that its a huge parody of American culture and imperialism but our government is already such a cartoonish joke that the parody almost doesn’t work anymore… our president is a pedophile who is throwing a fair on the whitehouse lawn like…
@Ryunney Can you imagine a full film about the concept of lincoln lookers and theres no real supernatural shit the entire time and at the end they just say “oh by the way george washington got stretched into a snake that encircles most of the united states” and then roll credits
Those monsters are all iconic because they are public domain. There are plenty of great monsters made in the past 100 years but thanks to copyrights lasting so long thanks to Disney, no one else is allowed to build on them and keep them relevant the same way. So they rot instead
as a society we need to invent another classic monster for the modern day, vampire, werewolf and frankenstein (etc) are all so iconic, why cant we invent some more
@jackattack7676 The problem is that almost everything in MM is interconnected and needs a huge amount of setup and establishment of other concepts to understand. You do freedom you have to do giza glass and special trees and james dean and all this other shit to even understand it
@dessdaze@rainnypea The backrooms is a simple enough concept to do a standalone story where if you haven’t seen the series you can still go into the film and understand everything you need to. There is no way to jump into MM for an isolated story set in something called the “Nixonverse”
@Dude36509305 I mean you could say that about any creature really, i think what separates the original examples like vampires and werewolves is the mythology rather than any actual characteristics. Thats why zombies come to mind. Theres a mythos that can be expanded upon and retooled
