@KaitlynMcKenna7 I really liked the topics that we covered in Week 7. I really feel the Stryker and Serano readings had a strong impact how I viewed the Transgender Community. I really reflected on how I should look at not only the trans community but other ones as well. #wmstfin#WMST1006
I finished my essay yesterday and I am glad that I am done. Even though it was an essay talking about how feminism impacted me, I found it hard to talk about me without rambling on and on. #wmstfin#WMST1006
Our last full week of women’s studies is this week. That is crazy how fast it went by. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned in class since January. I have changed a lot since then. I believe that this class challenged me to better myself in the best of ways. #wmstfin#WMST1006
@Kath_V99 Yes, you are absolutely right. That question sounds completely harmless, but in other people’s eyes, the question could be interpreted in a negative way. #wmstgl0#WMST1006
I really liked the comparison of an interview with Jim Lehrer of PBS and Laura Bush’s address in November of 2001 in the Abu-Lughod section. It was interesting how they viewed Islamic Women, especially when Bush talked about it two months after 9/11 #wmstgl0#WMST1006
In occurrence with the Biemann reading, I believe we need to shine a brighter light on the horrors of global trafficking of women across the world. This makes me sick to my stomach to read about this and to know that it is still happening in 2018. #wmstgl0#WMST1006
How are everybody’s essays going? I feel like I’m just rambling on and on about things in my essay, so I’m trying to try and fix that. Overall, I’d say that mine is going very well. #wmstgl0#WMST1006
@samantha13455 I agree. I wish more women would look at pursuing a major in the STEM fields. Women can do anything they please. Good luck in your pursuit for your engineering degree and maybe other women will follow in your footsteps to continue to “break down barriers” #wmstcr1#WMST1006
@allirmal That is crazy. 13 is way to young for something like that to be happening to children. Absolutely crazy. Children deserve better than that. #wmstcr1#WMST1006
Did anyone else find the ending of The Argonauts interesting? The use of the death of her mother and the birth of her son to me was truly an interesting way to wrap up what she was talking about in the book overall. #wmstcr1#WMST1006
The Laurence reading on Women in the military is interesting. Women are very capable in serving at any job in the US Military that men can do. #wmstcr1#WMST1006
This is extremely touching to me. That a really sad that his sister was murdered. I am glad that he is using his platform as an NBA player to help and fight for transgender equality. #wmstcr1#WMST1006 https://t.co/b42ztvsVPQ
@allirmal I agree with you. I like the aspects of family and transitioning in the book. It truly shows many different aspects behind the author’s life. #wmstn3l#WMST1006
