A fun afternoon!
We're honored to welcome H.E. the Ambassador of Israel to 🇷🇼 to Agati Library yesterday. 📚✨ She spent time with our young readers, shared stories & read Akaliza Goes to Space — one of the books donated by the Embassy to our network of community libraries🎉
What a gorgeous day in Musanze! So thankful our @VVAMusanze students have such a beautiful place to come to school each day! You should #VisitMusanze too!
It's my first Rwandan birthday! 🇷🇼 🎉One year ago I was sworn in as a citizen of Rwanda, and I am even more proud today to be a part of this incredible country! I'd like to take the opportunity on this special day to share some reasons why: 🧵1/6

Practicing my newest hobby— watercolor and ink landscapes— based on recent hikes in Volcanos National Park. I am amazed by the beauty of the landscapes all around us here in Musanze and love capturing them in this way. I hope you enjoy them too! #VisitRwanda#PaintRwanda
One of the things I love about cycling as a sport is how it is integrated into the communities where events are held rather than being behind the gates of a single venue. What a beautiful exchange that highlights the kindness and hospitality of our nation! #Rwandaful#UCI
Today, the world mourns the passing of a true icon and conservation legend, Dr. Jane Goodall, a towering figure whose journey began in Africa’s forests and went on to shape the conscience of the world. Her groundbreaking work did not just transform science, but humanity’s relationship with nature.
At @AWF_Official, we recognize that the strides the world has made in conservation owe much to her fearless dedication on this continent. Jane taught the world to see wildlife not as resources, but as kin, an insight that continues to guide how we safeguard Africa’s biodiversity as the bedrock of our prosperity and survival.
Her legacy challenges us to move with the same clarity, compassion, and conviction she embodied. As we honor her life, @AWF_Official recommits to carrying forward the flame she lit, ensuring that Africa remains at the heart of global conservation, and that her vision of a just and thriving world for people and nature endures.
On a personal note, I commend her for the path she charted, one that showed young girls everywhere, including my own daughter, that it is possible to dream boldly, to lead fearlessly, and to leave the world better than they found it.
Our prayers and thoughts are with her family and the global community during this trying time. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
It has been a joy to witness the beautiful meaningful names of the baby Gorillas and the commitment by the namers and the Government of Rwanda to continue with this exemplary journey of conservation with people at the center #KwitaIzina20@Kwitaizina@RDBrwanda@visitrwanda_now@rbarwanda@RwandaisOpen
