As we all are horrified by #kristynoem killing her dog, know that the shelters are overflowing right now. We are fostering Pongo - who needs a home. https://t.co/IvnCYib4XO
@DashkaSlater Thank you for telling this painful chapter of our town’s history so beautifully - especially the care you gave our beloved Ms Pfohl (the only one still standing). I can’t wait to read the book. (And if anyone says “no one calls it SmAlbany” here’s proof to the contrary).
@WSJ This is so sad to hear. Having been raised by a single, non-college grad dad, I had no clue what a sorority was but we thought it was a nice housing alternative. Somehow I was invited to pledge a nice house where I learned a lot of social skills I still use professionally.
I miss late night comedy TV. The news is way too depressing to watch without the brilliant punchlines provided by talented writers.
Any good books I should read?

@MichaelWTownsSr @Schwartzesque Yes, but ... as with many professions, there are restrictions for close relatives - ie auditors cannot work on projects where their spouse or domestic partner works and every individual stock purchase for CPA and spouse goes through independence check. https://t.co/gUNeBVVdeP
@Mylovanov True! My conservative American in-laws have welcomed a refugee family into their home. My dear new friend tells me she cries every day missing her home and counts the minutes until they can bring her 5yo niece home. And I can’t wait to visit her and help rebuild.
@StevenZap@theshamingofjay Dismissed because you sign a waver acknowledging you understand skiing is inherently dangerous and won’t sue. If fellow skiers then become liable for a) not getting in accidents and b) rendering care, the whole industry is screwed.
@CompletelyQless @patriottakes This scripture part of Ash Wednesday liturgy. It was only when I became an Episcopalian (after 35 years as Roman Catholic) did I learn there’s nothing wrong with wiping off the ashes after service. In fact the scripture encourages it.
@yatinbrooklyn He’s not wrong. I lived in a flat in SF with constant mouse sights and sounds. Got new roomie who had a cat 🐈⬛ and within a week the pitter patter of little mouse 🐁 feet were a thing of the past.
@diagnosketch@atulbutte This is why I love Kaiser which is effectively single payor. Everything is in central EMR both HCPs and members can see. Don’t waste a ton of time filling out the same forms and answering the same questions every time you see a new doc. They also see all our Rx’s.
@Maren_Bannon I feel you - that or the photos of the facilities look either like some dude's mom's basement or some lifeless office. I wish there were coding camps that balanced tech with getting outside a bit and enjoying summer.
@MeidasJeremy19 They are in California thanks mostly part to FEDERAL $. States are choosing not to feed kids who can’t afford it. https://t.co/AbxbbGr2JR
@apbyers While "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," there are good and bad ways to do so. Here's advice from one of my favorite little books on creativity. https://t.co/Mn1g1dyfkN
