We're dealing with a dangerously apathetic political milieu in America wherein increasing numbers of people don't mind being deceived. They really don't. They simply don't care that they're being lied to—and by the very people they themselves elected to represent them. Their construct of American political citizenry is that their interest and involvement in politics—and politicians—ends when, and if, their vote is cast during an election cycle. After casting their vote—if they do at all—they totally disengage from the political process and fall asleep. They couldn't care less that the country is burning to the ground around them—the fires being lit by the same men and women for whom they voted—as long as the smell of smoke isn't detected in the places and spaces where they live and work. It's one thing to have subversives from outside the United States that want to undermine and destroy it, but to have elected officials—many of whom are openly communist, socialist, and Marxist in their worldview—who literally want to destroy this nation, and have so many America citizens not care means it's only a matter of time until the smoke and flames of those destructive ideologies reaches them. And then it will be too late.
