Can you imagine the discourse at police professional conferences if - every time a tenured chief was invited to speak - they demanded someone from the next generation of police leadership be able to join them on the dais?
Congratulations to the 2022 IACP/Axon Police Officer of the Year, Officer Thadeu Holloway, & to finalists; Sergeant Alex Huntley, Detective Gregory Moore, Senior Police Officer Christopher McCain, & Sergeant Samuel Cleveland, for their selfless acts & commitment to public safety.
These people have transformed my idea of what #policing is about. They are brilliant, introspective, and true visionaries in American Policing. #54thMileProject Tarrick McGuire, Shon Barnes and Obed Magny. #IACP2022
Starting off today at #IACP2022 at the Research Advisory Committee meeting. Lots of optimism about @NIJDirLaVigne commitment to bridging the gap between research and practice @TheIACP@OJPNIJ#LEADS
What a difference 3+ years makes. This is the relationship Dallas needed for so long between city hall and the police department and, frankly, that every city in America needs. Thank God we now have it in Dallas and our city is reaping the benefits in the form of lower crime. 🙏🏾

Spending the day at the chief’s conf in Dallas w/ 3 cohorts of NIJ’s LEADS scholars program, supporting sworn officers and civilian analysts in infusing data and research into the policing profession. Thx to partners @TheIACP@RANDCorporation@RTI_Intl@PoliceForum#IACP2022
Incredible work by TPD Officers this past Tuesday! Officers literally put themselves in harm's way to stop a carjacking suspect from driving into oncoming traffic. This video is from the officer's body camera as he was spun out by the suspect. https://t.co/7flnHNaprc #tucsonpd
Representing @Tucson_Police at the @cebcp 2022 Symposium in Arlington this week! Excited to see my @OJPNIJ LEADS colleagues & see our very own @PD_Prof inducted into the Evidence-Based Policing Hall of Fame!
Today was @OfficerAshleyC’s last day at Holaway before she becomes Sergeant Ashley! She is so sad to leave but knows she will be back soon!
