The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Hey @luxonis , I really want free shipping with that USB-C cable for my Oak-D camera. It's very tempting to spend more. Now I'm thinking to buy five Oak 4 CS cameras to qualify for free shipping.
This has to stop. I purchased a Raspberry Pi 5 - 16GB RAM from Adafruit for about $220 in March, which already went through a price increase. Now it's $350. I'm blaming Nvidia.
Hey @claudeai , why does Claude Code keep suggesting that I take a break and resume later? During a session, it even suggested continuing the next day multiple times! Why is this happening? How is this helpful? My sessions are not even that long.
The "readily biodegradable" data is for trace concentrations in normal wastewater, not 7,000 gallons. There will still be vapor buildup in sewer, so underground explosion is a worse scenario to deal with because it could build up pressure. And besides that, there will be large quantities of polymerizing monomer in the sewage system that the sewage treatment plants are not able to process it. It will end up in the ocean.
My guess is that the most probable scenario for the hazmat situation in Garden Grove, California, is to conduct a controlled burn.
The recent messages from OCFA Chief Craig Covey suggest that the situation is deteriorating. The temperatures are still rising, and it appears that they want public expectations calibrated for a controlled-burn decision or an uncontrolled failure. The water-curtain strategy is buying time to figure out which one.
Most likely outcomes: Controlled burn or uncontrolled failure. If they let it leak or a rupture happens, that can still lead to an explosion. The news hasn't been positive. I haven't heard any real solutions from officials yet and no word from GKN Aerospace. Things are not looking good.
WOAH 🚨 Gavin Newsom launched a program that spend $23 million dollars on hearing aids for kids
5 years later only 300 hearing aids have been given out
That’s a cost of $76,666 per hearing aid
Retail costs for these same hearing aids is roughly $1,400
Gavin Newsom pushed lawmakers toward a state-run program instead of requiring private insurers to cover the pediatric hearing aids
If the retail cost is $1,400 and the state only provided 300, then that’s a cost of $420,000
Yet Gavin Newsom spent $23,000,000
I actually looked into where this money allegedly went, and officially it went to “administrative and overhead costs” instead of providing hearing aids
In other words, money laundering
