Sessions have been successfully conducted by PACP centers at ABSH Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, DG Khan, Jalalpur Jattan, Lodhran, Mianwali, Multan, Narowal, Okara, Sargodha, Shahkot Nankana, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, and Vehari, engaging healthcare professionals and frontline health workers through interactive discussion and awareness activities.

Phase 2 of the RED Campaign (Reach Every District) has officially commenced, further expanding Punjab AIDS Control Program’s efforts to strengthen HIV awareness, promote stigma-free healthcare practices, and enhance knowledge regarding PACP services across Punjab.
Under the guidance of Project Director PACP, Dr. Naveed Akhtar Malik, the Phase 2 sessions are being led by respective Center Incharges, engaging DHO Preventive Services, health officials, consultants, and frontline healthcare workers from across the districts.
The sessions continue to focus on HIV transmission, prevention, available services, infection control measures, safe injection practices, and appropriate response protocols within healthcare facilities, while encouraging active participation and discussion among attendees.
Through the RED Campaign, PACP remains committed to building a more informed, coordinated, and stigma-free response to HIV across Punjab.
On the first day of the campaign, PACP centers in Rahim Yar Khan, Chakwal, Kasur, Khanewal, Kunjah Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Rajanpur, Rawalpindi, Taunsa DG Khan, and Toba Tek Singh successfully conducted their sessions.

PACP provides free HIV testing on WHO recommended test kits. All advanced diagnostic tests are done in-house and free, again on WHO recommended test kits only. HIV patients need lifelong treatment and that is provided free for life.

Project Director PACP, Dr. Naveed Akhtar Malik, conducted a monitoring visit to the PACP Center at DHQ Hospital Gujranwala to review service delivery and overall functioning.
During the visit, he examined patient records, reviewed stock and expiries, and assessed workflows. He instructed the staff to maintain organization, cleanliness, proper documentation, and disciplined practices to ensure quality patient care.
He also directed the team to strengthen linkages with key departments, including the blood bank, laboratory, dialysis unit, gynecology, and pediatrics, to improve patient referral and follow-up. Emphasis was placed on proactive engagement within the hospital to increase awareness of PACP services among healthcare providers.
Dr. Naveed further held a meeting with the CEO Health Gujranwala and DHO Preventive Services, where he emphasized safe injection practices and strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) SOPs.
The visit reflects continued focus on coordination, standards, and effective HIV service delivery.
