@David_R_0980@PolitlcsUK@Telegraph It's the Labour parliamentary right that won't let him do it. The left supports this and supports small businesses. It's the right which would have issue with him taxing big business to do it.
@PhiLiP_HunT1@JackieD86388657 BBC being far left is I think one of the worst political takes I've ever heard. Restore are simply a new party and barely anyone has heard of them until now.
@Ethan_Powell04@IGMansfield@reformparty_uk The graph literally shows they had peaked. The small rise of a couple points isn't anything compared to the 6ish points higher they used to be
@witheredfoxy32@LeftieStats@Savanta_UK Well no, it's just proof young people will vote for the only party that doesn't completely fuck young people over.
@EironProsopon@BernieSanders And secondly if these ai models are built entirely from the publics art and literature. It's our labour that built them, why do you not think we should be given stake for our labour?
@EironProsopon@BernieSanders While the training isn't stealing, these tools are used to create millions of images that break copyright which is endorsed by the companies. That's the stealing part of it. While ruining the environment, ruining products and diluting media with slop. You're just a slave to them
@EironProsopon@BernieSanders Taking back what's rightfully the publics. The ai companies have been scraping the Internet and using our publicly made images and literature
@PC_20213@Skint_Eastwood1 In a way. Its much cheaper and secure energy but UK energy is tied to the highest cost production method. So it will in practice be the same price until gas is phased out. However the cheaper energy production therefore provides a lot of profit and they reinvest a decent bit.
@PaulNesbit6@Skint_Eastwood1 The effect on the climate is none. The effect on our economy is great. Nuclear, hydro, geothermal and wind are cheaper energy sources and much more secure. Net zero has created hundreds of thousands of jobs boosting gdp. They are certainly not "very expensive" long term.
@FrankChronicles@KaneEmerson Both of which are currently being solved. Nuclear investment has greatly increased and we are both starting to domestically build batteries and finding alternatives to lithium. If invested in properly, we will be an energy secure country and much more secure than from oil.
@BushidoUK@KaneEmerson Not much, replacing coal has done a lot of good for the environment but obviously we could have replaced it with gas instead of renewables.
However, the money is not wasted, renewable and nuclear energy are cheaper. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created too.
@BushidoUK@KaneEmerson Our GDP would most likely be similar without net zero, slightly higher at best.
However if we did net zero properly by investing in nuclear, grid improvements, low carbon manufacturing etc earlier, we probably would have had a better economy than without net zero.
@Stephen87526665@UnionJacked__ Reform run media isn't evidence when it's clearly politically motivated and doesn't have many sources. Just like anti farage labour run media would be untrustworthy as well.
