Rewatched Nightmare on Elm Street and realized why the story resonated with me so much last year.
The movie is, at its core, about taking away the power of fear by looking the other way.
Not ignoring every atrocity that happens or turning a blind eye to violence, but accepting that some things can’t be changed and lose their power when you stop watching.
Staring at 10/7 footage for hours helps exactly ZERO victims. Instead, it amplifies violent content and hurts the entire community.
Same thing with Hasan Piker, Stew Peters, and the rest: just don’t look.
@FowardAssist@DonP2188 So what’s happening is your brain is telling you you’re cold so that your body shivers and heats up more to kill off whatever you’re sick with.
Problem is, it can easily cook your organs if you don’t get it treated at the ER.
