The summer issue is online! We are lucky to feature a truly wonderful selection of poems and artwork, including poems from Joel Ferdon, Margaret B. Ingraham, M. Nasorri Pavone, Simon Perchik, and a translation from Ivan de Monbrison.
Enjoy! https://t.co/gQe9TrogyU
Off the Coast will continue on, though there may be a gap between issues as the next editor takes over. The summer issue will be published as usual on June 15th, and more previews will be coming soon. Until then, enjoy "Higgins Beach" by David McCann.
The summer issue is coming together, and this one is bittersweet—it will be my last as editor. I want to extend my thanks to each of you who have been a part of Off the Coast, whether as a contributor, reader, supporter, editor, or some combination of the above.
It has been so rewarding to read and curate poetry for this community. And what a joy it’s been to be immersed in poems—many that never worked their way out of my system, many that will never leave me.
We don't typically dedicate issues of Off the Coast, but this winter's deserves to be a bit different. When I joined the magazine in 2011, Ellen Jane Powers was already a core member of the editorial board, and later she would contribute her precise copyediting to the magazine.
The winter issue of Off the Coast is here! We are lucky to feature a truly wonderful selection of poems and artwork thanks to the hard work of our contributors and editors. We hope you enjoy it.

Tomorrow is the day! The winter issue will be available to read for free on our website, https://t.co/DV850IOvYA.
Today's preview features the work of poet Meghan Adler and artist Adèle Saint-Pierre.
Only two more weeks until the new issue is up! We’re excited to share Epilogue of Water, an issue that gets its title from Onyekachi Iloh’s poem "How to Write My Country's Name.” The cover art, “Great Torii” is by Chris Vaughan.
Kelly Samuels, whose work has appeared in several issues of Off the Coast, has a new book out: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD. Check out the link for more. Congratulations!

Poetry, translations, inkwork, and guzheng harp—Fiona Sze-Lorrain does it all, and all are featured on the new video from the Institute of Ideas and Imagination: https://t.co/TemQugvQwv
If you missed our interview with Sze-Lorrain, you can read it here: https://t.co/g9kHYrpcUl
(Having read them first in sweater weather, I can attest that they hold up, even with real summer all around to compare.)
If you haven’t opened up the new issue yet, don’t miss out.

Although we didn’t have theme for the journal, themes always become apparent once the poems are in place. This time, the idea of summer—its extravagance, nostalgia, and stunning simplicity—kept surfacing in the poems.
Many thanks to our fabulous contributors and editors who made this issue all that it is. Enjoy our summer 2021 issue, ON REENTRY, out now on our website.
