The @ethereumfndn formal verification timeline ends at the consensus client layer in 2027. I'm not waiting. I've spent the last while building a mental model for formal verification and Lean4 before writing a single line of code.

At @blockfuselabs , we’ve spent the last few months studying the Lean Consensus specification @leanEthereum and training protocol developers to reason about simple, verifiable systems.

Now we’re taking the next step.

The engineers at @blockfuselabs are building @geanclient, a Lean @ethereum consensus client inspired by the Lean Consensus (Beam Chain) proposal introduced by @drakefjustin during his @EFDevcon Bangkok 2024 talk.[https://t.co/HIDXiBXI0f]

Our goal is to build a consensus client that is simple, readable, elegant, and resilient, code that anyone can read, understand, and maintain for decades to come. A codebase developers genuinely enjoy contributing to. That’s why we chose Go.

We follow a lean development approach inspired by @ethlambda_lean , another lean Ethereum consensus client being built by @class_lambda .
