I’m not gonna get on here and pound the table for Ryan Day to be fired, but what made him a great coach all seems to be missing. Fastball on offense has been gone since 2024. Consistently playing scared in the biggest games. Position coaches are not developing their players.
I hope Jeremiah and Maine setup a players only meeting with the rest of the team without the coaches.
Since they seem like the only ones who aren’t cool with losing.
The players will listen to what 4 has to say they respect him.
I think the team need it. Like In 2024
@BarstoolBigCat Disappointment. Every flaw Ryan Day has let hang around showed it’s head except for kicking. And thats only because it wasn’t a close enough game.
Ohio State is 6-4 over their last 10 games.
All four of those losses came in primetime national games.
Outside of the “gift” Indiana handed them last week
they haven’t beaten anyone of real significance.
They should realistically be 5-5.
Let that sink in.
The only way you fix problems, is you first have to admit that you have them
These cliché responses tell us all we want to know
The pace of play comment alone just emphasizes how tone deaf he is
Nothing will change
Bring in a serious coach for the OL
Bring in a serious coach for the TE
Bring in a serious coach for the DB
Bring in a transfer QB
Lets run it all the way for 2027
@Carl1wnq@AndrewMLind I’m not off the Ryan Day train yet, but a list of people who are better coaches than Ryan Day off the top of my head.
Kirby Smart, Mario Cristobal, Curt Cignetti, Bob Chesney, Marcus Freeman, Will Stein
The first 3 probably say no, the bottom 3 all have incentive to say yes.
San Jose St., Louisiana, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Penn State, Washington, Oregon all scored more points than Ohio State vs this USC defense. Absolutely dumpster juice of a offensive and defensive game plan coming out of a bye.
@coryjmccartney Genuinely curious what the “best player in college football” lacks in terms of qualifications for an award given to the best player in college football.
The reality on Ryan Day and Ohio State at this point is that it feels like they aren't maximizing the immense resources the program has because of how conservatively they decide to play. They might have enough resources to just win anyway, but it feels like they coach scared.
